Dear Readers (or whoever still follows this sad excuse of a blog),
I know the GLW community is going on to do amazing things this summer, and I wish all of you the best time ever. In two days I'm off to Italy for a little over a week. It's a trip with my school to Rome, Florence, and Venice. I've been looking forward to this for quite some time. Anyways, while packing and cleaning my room I found the notebook that started everything. I reread some posts and what was written in the back and found that it would only be appropriate to bring it to Italy with me too so I can once again document an amazing journey in my life. (However I doubt that Italy will be as amazing and educational as GLW)
I can't wait to blog about the trip. I miss all y'alls, and hopefully we can get together soon.
With Love,
Becca
With Love, Becca
While at GLW, I decided to begin a blog. At first, it was to be used a simply a place to share my thoughts on the program, but the more I post the more I enjoy it, so I think this will continue on. To all my lovely GLW friends, I love you all.

Post Prom
May 24, 2011
Saturday night, after prom: I really screwed things up.
Prom was rather fanciful though. I had a wonderful time.

Pathetic
May 6, 2011
From looking at the past posts from this year, I am disappointed to find that I didn't post ANYTHING I wanted to! There were so many things I wanted to discuss: LABMUNC, the play, tennis, drama, etc.
More to come.
Hopefully.
With Love,
Becca

Wow, it's already been two months since I last posted, and even longer for the RBC blog....
For a simple update, my life's been super super busy lately, but I'm happy with the constant business. Today I had a tennis match against saint bernard's, and I was pretty proud of myself not only because I helped my partner win, but also because I was fearless at the net where as yesterday I was timid, ducking for cover. Yesterday was embarrassing. My team overall has been doing pretty well, but Taryn and I have only won 3 matches. I swear tennis is my favorite and most hated activity -- I love playing it and winning, but once I start losing I get so angry, so frustrated. And then I'll hit my leg with my racket. It's a bad habit my entire team has... it's bad.
Hmmm... I went on college visits over April break. Georgetown is my number one. The ultimate, the most perfect place for me. I wish to go there so badly, and hopefully I will get in! Today I had the revelation that if I could choose any career it would probably be a historian. Although being a theatre actress would be awesome, being a historian would just blow my mind. I love history. But unfortunately, it's impractical. As are my other interests. Science is the way to go these days if money is desired in one's future. I would like money, money's nice, but I can't decide. It's strange thinking that at 17, my decisions will be life-changing. It's almost terrifying, but at the same time equally as exhilarating.
How about I become famous and live happily ever after in Monaco like Grace Kelly? (Minus the tragic death)
That sounds good to me.

I feel totally lame for not continuing to update the other blog, but it's temporarily (and unofficially) closed. I need some time to figure it all out. And I might be getting a new adress for it, and yeah lots of stuff's going on. I'll keep ya posted.

Model UN
February 17th, 2011
Strangely enough I had a rather refreshing discussion with my Model UN group about women's rights. May I add that other than the instructor, I am the ONLY girl involved? It was interesting and we discussed how our perception of women in the United States originated. We also discussed women's oppresion in the middle east, and then further discussed the extent of equality among the sexes.
Model UN isn't the only place where women's rights has been discussed lately. For example, my IB French class is discussing equality between the sexes as our latest topic. This has included reading and analyzing "Le Petit Chaperon Rouge," or "Little Red Riding Hood," discussing women's rights in Moracco, and more.
It was very refreshing, and made me think of my GLW girls. Miss you ladies!

Social Justice Project
January 29th, 2011
I've finally started my social justice project! This is just a quick post to update, but I'll further explain it later. Lots of ideas planned, so I'm really really excited about it! Wish me luck!
